Team Fortress 2

The biggest event on the Competitive TF2 calendar is back again! Teams and players from around the entire world will be heading to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England, to the Insomnia Gaming Festival for their chance at glory and a share of the prize pool. Taking place from Friday, August 23rd, to Sunday, August 25th, the event will feature three days of non-stop action and the highest level of competition the game has to offer.

If you wish to support the event there is an ongoing fundraiser where you can donate money or purchase a range of items; money raised goes towards the production, prize pool, and supporting the North American team, Ascent.NA, attending to represent their region.

Signups for the tournament are here. However, if you can’t make it, the event will be streamed both at the event and online by EssentialsTF over at their Twitch page. For the latest information, be sure to check out LAN.TF to follow the tournament live.

Scream Fortress is coming early! You’re used to News posts about competitive events, but this will probably be the last post you were expecting! Beginning September 16th, there will be a community-run, competitive, Highlander, Halloween tournament fully loaded with bosses, spells, pumpkin bombs and best of all: real life medals for every participant! (You can view the medals HERE!)

The goal of this event is to enjoy all of the Scream Fortress Halloween maps. It should be treated as a very casual event with the intention of just having a good time! While the event is primary North American for the time being, all players of every region are welcome to join.

The Moscow LAN is an annual TF2 6v6 competition and it’s back to shake-up the community one more time!

The event will take place in Moscow at the Winstrike Arena on August 10th-11th. It will feature the best players from all around the country as they come together to make their way through two days of intense competitive gameplay.

It’s free to watch, both “physically” and “virtually”! If you can’t go and visit them, they’ll be broadcasting all the action live on KritzKast’s Twitch channel!

For more information, head over to the LAN website or Discord server.

Hey everyone,

As Gaming-servers.net and Team Fortress 2, in general, has slowed down we think it is time to consolidate our servers. This is to improve the gaming experience and get everyone gathered in one place. Instead of multiple places with fewer people playing. We believe that a consolidated group of players will also bring in more people to keep the servers fuller throughout the days and evenings. Which we believe will benefit everyone.

As such, we are closing down all the San Jose servers. The two remaining servers we will host will be:

Vs Saxton Hale in San Francisco[play.gaming-servers.net]

Dodgeball in San Francisco[play.gaming-servers.net]

We will also be closing down Elite Dodgeball. We have felt it has played out its course. It isn’t played often anymore, and it is taking away from our other dodgeball servers instead of bringing people to it.

We will slowly do this transition over a month and slowly ramp up the alert, and warnings until we fully migrate over.

Please make sure to add the new servers to your favorites, and I hope to see you all soon.

An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:

  • Added the Summer 2019 Cosmetic Case
    • Contains 22 new community-contributed items
  • Added tournament medals
  • Fixed and exploit where pipebombs could not be destroyed or pushed by the enemy team
  • Fixed Medi-gun/Wrench items not dropping for the Mann vs. Machine rewards
  • Fixed not seeing the team-goal hints during Casual matches
  • Fixed a scale problem with the Brazil Fortress Halloween medals
  • Updated the localization files

The BlapBash charity livestream, a two-day TF2 charity event (12 hours each day), begins this weekend! The largest competitive League in North America is about to get a bit bigger. The longest running format in competitive TF2 history will have a new home this Summer. RGL.gg is starting up a traditional 6v6 on July 23rd. We are happy to announce that we are expecting a prize pool of $8,000 and already have a starting Invite team list of Froyotech, Ascent, Ford Gaming, Kings Crew, Dunk Masters, and more…

But don’t worry, you don’t have to play against Froyotech. We are expecting to have 5-6 divisions based on skill. So everyone can play in a match which is fair and competitive. Doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to competitive TF2 or a seasoned veteran. Everyone has a place in our league!

For players who are playing in our Open division (players who are newer to comp), that division is completely free to play! For all of the divisions above, they all will have a prize pool with a reasonable division entry fee. You can find more information about that on our registration page. Open will play once a week on Wednesday nights and most other divisions will play twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If you need help finding a team, go to our registration page and click on the tab “Need help finding a team?” for information on how to find a team to play with.

Don’t miss out up signing up for the first season of RGL.gg Traditional Sixes – Register Now @ Sixes.RGL.gg.
