Simple Answer: No, we do not allow cussing.
Long Answer:
So as you may know or have heard Gaming-Server.net has a no cussing on our servers. Now lets explain why this is here and why it is enforced. First our main objective it to provide a “fun” and “enjoyable” playing experience. This is our ultimate objective and we will do as much as we can to revamp / edit our servers to get in that “fun” and “enjoyable” sector. This “fun” and “enjoyable” experience should also not be limited to the few, therefore it is interpreted for all. So their is 3 main points and they that here at Gaming-Servers.net: “We will try and provide to “all” players a “fun” and “enjoyable” game play experience.”
Now we can’t really provide a “fun” and “enjoyable” experience to “all” otherwise we would have to provide that to players using aimbots as well. That being said when we say “all” we mean “all” players following the rules.
In any case the no cussing rule works in conjunction with the above as over the years of gaming, a common objective is to troll your opponent. This is usually done by calling that person names, or stating untrue facts about him/her. Now you maybe thinking why not just remove trolls then, well let me finish.
Another reason for the no cussing rule is that for some reason unknown to me if one person starts to cuss then soon another person will cuss and then it finally becomes a train of more and more cussers. Now for some of us it puts us on edge, makes us unhappy and we cuss about that guy on the other battlements getting head shots on you every time. You start to at this point begin to “work” instead of “enjoying” the game and having “fun.” Therefore the cussing rule is there to chill you guys out. Its just a game.
Now how hard is it to limit ~20 words out of your life while playing? Not that hard in our opinion. Simply just don’t spew it in chat or over mic as frankly we really can’t hear or see what you are doing in your own room infront of your computer.
Some other reason that we have a no cussing rule is the major amount of children under the age of 17. Now this may seem like “Hey this is a mature rated game it comes with the turf”, but sadly we are still responsible for providing a proper environment for them. You may think this as being stupid, but would you want your little sister, cousin, or other close family member seeing a brony porn spray?
Another reason is simply we think you all cuss way to much anyways. For example: “You knowIi F**king saw my ex-girlfriend, and that B**ch last night was with my f**king a**hole D**sh*t of a best friend.” I mean really you guys LOVE to do this, I swear if you listen to yourselves you would have a cuss word in at least every other sentence. It ruins the point of cussing when you use it so much.
Some people simply just don’t want to hear it. Yes their are some people that find cussing offensive, and generally a turnoff as well. Yes we run “less manlier” servers and frankly we are proud of it.
Cussing can be used for a joke though? Yes I know, but most of them are dirty jokes anyways and frankly as I have stated before, they aren’t appropriate for our minors to listen too.
We also want parents not to feel like they have just put their kid in a hell hole. We want parents to be happy and welcome a gaming experience in their children’s lives.
So in any case, we have put this rule here for you, so that “all” of you can have a “fun” and “enjoyable” gaming experience while removing those dang trolls.
